It’s nice to meet you!
About me
I earned a BFA in Dance and Choreography from the University of Michigan, danced professionally, and later taught in the University’s Musical Theater and Theater Departments. Those years placed me in a creative, collaborative environment, working with dancers, actors, choreographers, musicians, and designers of all kinds. I saw small ideas grow, deepen, and become something larger than any one person.
That process never left me.
Today, my fine art practice is shaped by those early experiences. I see movement and pause, structure and improvisation, as central. Gesture and restraint are just as important. My work often starts quietly, with observation, sketching, and collecting, and grows through experimentation until the piece reveals itself.
Teaching is still a key part of my practice. It is not separate from my art, but an extension of how I see and connect with the world. I share techniques and creative habits that encourage curiosity, not perfection, and help artists trust themselves and find their own style.
I currently live in Ann Arbor, Michigan with my husband Marc, who continues support all my creative dreams, beautiful daughter Olivia, and energetic Border Collie, Milly.
Thank you for taking the time to visit and I look forward to sharing my creative work with you.
