YOU’RE INVITED

Sometimes all we need is a little spark to begin.

If you ever walk into your art space and wonder, "What should I make today?" this month’s Studio Invitation is for you. I’ve paired one of my artworks with a few thoughts to help you pause, notice, and start creating in your own way.

Download and print your Invitation, add it to your inspiration wall, or tuck it inside your sketchbook as a gentle reminder to stay curious, follow what interests you, and make time for your art.

It’s my gift to you, because your creativity is worth making time for.

I invite you to download the first in a series of Studio Moments “Invitations’. Take a moment to reflect on the month’s message and weave it into your personal art practice.

You can print it for your studio wall or tuck it into your sketchbook as a reminder to slow down.

Practice is not simply how we make art. Practice is how we become artists.

If you want a bit more guidance and inspiration, join me in a curated and pre-recorded studio session. (See below)

Join me in the studio for the first in a series of Studio Sessions inspired by a photograph of beautiful summer peonies.

We'll slow down and really look at the flower—the parts that interest us, the shapes the light creates across the petals, the tiny details, and even the way the flower bends and moves.

Then, I invite you to find a flower that interests you. Photograph it, tuck the image into your sketchbook, and spend a few days drawing it. Draw it more than once. Notice something different each time. Let your curiosity lead the way.

No pressure to create a finished piece of art. Just observe, sketch, experiment, and enjoy a little moment in time making your art.
